ONE HOUR BEFORE START TIME

Subject: Our webinar is oversold so please show up early to get your spot!

Greetings:

Here are a few tips to help you get the most value from our webinar.

Please sign in at least ten minutes before the webinar starts to ensure we can begin on time and remember to wear a headset with a microphone if you would like to ask questions during the webinar. A webcam is also recommended so others can see you.

I recommend closing any software that uses audio or video, such as Skype, before joining the webinar. I also recommend you do not download data or run other programs during the webinar. Remember to turn on your microphone and webcam once you join the webinar. It can take a few minutes for the system to add your audio and video feed to the webinar once you join. If you are not using headphones, please mute your microphone so others don’t hear feedback.

I am online now to help people set up their systems. Please log in early to ensure you can see and hear the webinar. We will begin on time and once we start I will not be able to help you get set up.

Our webinar is oversold and I will be giving spots on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please refer to the email I sent you when you registered with instructions for joining the webinar.

I look forward to see you in a few minutes!

Thank you,
David.

Polls: What code quality makes the most sense to you?

RETROSPECTIVE

Start on time!! Don’t wait for people. Show up half an hour early to help troubleshoot and let people know in an email that technical issues must be resolved before the start time.

Make a plea to use a webcam so I can see you. I thrive on feedback.

Personalize by asking people to introduce themselves at the beginning: name, title, programming language.

Use Polls to find out more about people and see if they are getting it

One Week Follow Up

Thank you for attending.

Retrospective:

Here are some upcoming classes. Please fill out the feedback form and get $200 off public classes. The next webinar is April 5. I also offer this webinar to private groups.
